Explore the capital city of Dublin on a literary pub tour which gets you acquainted with some of the city's more than 1,000 pubs. The scene is set in one of Dublin's oldest pubs, within walking distance of Temple Bar, along the quays. As early as the 1600's, it was a popular haunt. The Seanchi, the Irish word for storyteller, entertains with oral tales of fairies, Celtic warriors and legendary deed-doing, which seem to be long forgotten, yet their stories still survive even today. Tales are presented by Johnny Daly.and songs sung and everyone is made to feel welcome. With turf fire glowing a perfect setting in which to take you back through the romantic mists of time. We will share, music, and song, storytelling, and moving ballads. History comes alive tonight! This includes a three course traditional Irish candlelit dinner with tea and coffee and the evening of folklore. AvocaHalf Day Tour The Wicklow Mountaineer, Ballykissangel (Avoca) and Glendalough Tour By Train-A lovely HALF-DAY TOUR into the Wicklow Mountains to visit Ireland's most famous village, Avoca, otherwise known as "Ballykissangel" situated in the beautiful Vale of Avoca and also the magnificent Glendalough (valley of the two lakes) with new 12.00 noon departure. We head due south along the coast enjoying the magnificent seascapes for much of the way as far as Wicklow town, where we swing inland to the mountains and experience the "Garden of Ireland" at its best. On arrival at Arklow we join our coach for a journey through the Vale of Avoca, taking in the lovely village of Avoca, or Ballykissangel, where we can visit the Avoca hand weavers (see the weavers at work). Plenty of time for a pint in Fitzgeralds Bar. We continue on to visit the ancient monastic settlement at stunning Glendalough. We return by train to Dublin Connolly station at approx. 6.30pm. Day Tour - The Ring of Kerry An all day tour offering a unique opportunity to experience the world renowned Ring of Kerry, with its overwhelming mountains and seascapes. Here we transfer to Killarney and thence our tour of the Ring of Kerry. We have a wonderful day viewing some of Ireland’s most spectacular scenery, including Dingle Bay. We also see the Macgillicuddy Reeks, Ireland's highest mountain Carrantuohill, Moll's Gap, Ladies View and the world famous Lakes of Killarney. cLIFFS OF mOHER tOURDay Tour - Day Tour The Cliffs of Moher, Burren and Galway Bay A day trip to Ireland's rugged and unique mid-western coast, through Limerick on the mighty River Shannon and on then to the imposing Bunratty Castle with its lovely folk park. The stunning Cliffs of Moher, the Burren and Galway Bay. A flavor of Galway City concludes the tour before our return to Dublin. Day Tour Connemara and Galway Bay
An enchanting day tour to the glorious West of Ireland where John Ford filmed "The Quiet Man". We arrive through Galway (the City of the Tribes), see Clifden (the Capital of Connemara) Kylemore Abbey and explore Connemara which means "inlets of the sea". On arrival in Galway we transfer to our waiting coach and strike out into the magnificent scenery of this region known as Connemara. Three Day Tour Cork, Blarney Castle, The Ring of Kerry, and the Dingle Peninsula
A three day tour to the South and South West of Ireland taking in Cork, Blarney Castle, The Queenstown Story and then based in Killarney, touring the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula. Connolly Station (was known as Amiens Street Station) In 1966, the 50th anniversary of the Easter Rising, the station's name was changed to Connolly Station after Irish revolutionary and socialist James Connolly. At the same time, several other main stations in the Republic were renamed after patriots executed for their roles in the Rising. While Connolly connects Dublin to the east coast of Ireland and to Sligo, Heuston Station serves the south and west of the country.
